Cutting machine operators for Ruanda

Why train cutting machine operators for Rwanda? rema and the training project “Exciting machining perspectives” in cooperation with the Rwandan Ministry of Education wish to support the further development of the industrial base in Rwanda.

In 2016 the first Rwandan apprentices will come to Rockenhausen. After an intensive language course, alternating with practical training, their apprenticeships as cutting machine operators will begin the following year.

Each year, rema invests 30 percent of the company’s profit in this training project. Its main objective is to contribute to sustainable development in Rwanda. The positive effects will show after a number of years.

 

Lighthouse project

Our training project “Machining for Rwanda’s future” has been awarded as a “lighthouse project” by the partnership association Rhineland-Palatinate / Rwanda.
